Difficulties

This gets tough.  If I’m completely honest the writing is the easiest part.  Finding the topics of my writing and then backing it up with photos is probably the hardest part to this whole blog, closely followed by time constraints from living a ‘normal’ life at the same time.

It’s no secret that I don’t really want to live this life, that I don’t feel it is where I should be, but I have always accepted the position I am in and tried to make it work while I have ideas, dreams and plans for something else.  So with saying that, I still work hard to make my living and save money for the plans I have in store.  I keep telling myself that it’s only four years,; four years and I’ll be on the road and trying a completely different lifestyle.  It’s so hard not to run out and do it now.  Well, I say it’s hard, but it’s quite easy when I don’t have the money to start yet…

In the meantime I am still working on this blog daily and although you may not see the results every day, I assure you I am learning something everyday to make this blog a success and prepare for my travels.  I have lists made up, lists for equipment, destinations, activities.  I research different places.  Every time one of you posts in social media somewhere beautiful or interesting I look it up and if it is as appealing as it looks I add it to my list.  In a lot of way you inspire me and help me shape my plans.  Thanks by the way.

Anyway, recently I have been looking at photographic equipment.  What I need without getting swept away in big numbers like ‘megapixel’.  I am trying to learn what it is I really need for my intentions, so that I don’t over spend because something is more flash (excuse the pun).  I’m looking at mirror-less cameras; they are cheaper, lighter and smaller (something I have to consider for all my equipment) and the quality seems to be amazing.  I still have a lot to learn, but as I start getting these things I will give you more details on my findings.  At the same time, if you have suggestions, advice or questions fire them my way.  I am only too happy to be as interactive as we can.

Remember people, this blog thrives with followers.  Please subscribe and more importantly encourage others to do so by sharing my posts, my blog address, dansodyssey.com.  The more people following the better this gets.

Thanks everyone.  Enjoy your day!
